"Damnit people, haven't you got the message yet? The Rozzer is an 'Artist', a troubled poet who, like so many visionaries before him, has been driven from these shores into the arms of an alien culture he neither comprehends nor likes. He is not, repeat not, just a fine piece of eye candy, nor indeed a prime specimen of English beef, okay? And anyone suggesting that he's got Biblical with Courtney Love, Natalie All Saint, or indeed any other than  his beloved Gwen, will be dealt with in the severest terms. You 'erd! SEXIEST MOMENT: Rocking out while couples cop off all around him in the 'Swallowed' video."
Also, Gavin and Gwen Stefani were voted as Rock's Sexiest Couple.  Don't forget to check out the photos with Dave Parsons and BUSH fans and mentions of BUSH in the news section...

-Gavin Rossdale Looking Ahead To New Bush Album, Solo LP
Singer/guitarist says group, now on U.S. tour, hopes to begin recording by summer.
Staff Writer Brian Hiatt reports:
Bush have just begun touring the U.S. in support of their latest album, The Science of Things, but the British pop-rockers are already making plans to begin recording their next release.
"I hope to be doing it by late summer. I think it's important to keep momentum," frontman Gavin Rossdale said last week from a Florida tour stop.
Rossdale, who also is planning a solo LP, said he's working on "light sketches" of new songs, though he declined to say what direction he expects Bush's next album to take.
"The sound should be something elusive," he said. "For us it's about constantly evolving, trying to reflect things about your life."
The band's current MTV-sponsored tour of college campuses, which also features electronica artist Moby, is slated to end April 30 but will be followed by a summer tour of outdoor amphitheaters, Bush spokesperson Michael Pagnotta said.
The band plans to enter the studio after that tour ends, according to Pagnotta, who said the group was frustrated by the three-year gap between their second album, 1996's Razorblade Suitcase, and last year's The Science of Things. The delay was largely because of a now-resolved lawsuit filed against the band by their label, Trauma Records.
A remix album, 1997's Deconstructed, came out in the interim. That album, which featured Bush hits such as "Mouth" (RealAudio excerpt) reworked by such producers as Goldie and Tricky, inspired the band to incorporate electronica into its sound, according to Bush drummer Robin Goodridge.
"We were really excited by some of the reinterpretations of our material that people did," he said last year.
Rossdale plans to delve into even more experimental territory on a solo album, which he said he hopes to record following Bush's next release.
"I'll do something different and strange and untethered by other people," he said. "I think it'll be a combination of everything — I'd like to have a cross between Fugazi and Pere Ubu."  Full story from SonicNet...

-On this day in 1997 in Canada, the 'X' in BUSH X was finally dropped legally after a struggle in court to receive rights to their name (since there had already been a band named 'bush' in the seventies).
-Evidently, Gavin's collapse was caused to an electrolyte problem in his body (where he could not retain water).  BUSH publicist Michael Pagnotta explains: "he was checked out by doctors and everything seems to be OK. There's nothing seriously wrong with him apart from putting on too many intense shows, and not maintaining a better electrolyte balance."

One of the paintings in a really fantastic one of Bush at Glastonbury 99. The painting itself measure 420mmx297mm, it has been beautifully framed so is now bigger than this. Bush's Gavin Collapses After Show (c.o MTV)
Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale collapsed Thursday as he was coming offstage following the band's show at Mt. Pleasant's Central Michigan University.
The cause of the collapse remains unknown, but Rossdale is said to be feeling better and the band's Campus Invasion tour with Moby is expected to continue as scheduled.
According to a band spokesperson, Rossdale collapsed after the band's final encore Thursday night and was caught by his security officer nicknamed "Bone." The singer is said to have blacked out for less than a minute.
The spokesperson told MTV News the singer was disoriented and had no knowledge of his location when he came to. Rossdale was put on oxygen for 20 minutes by paramedics and refused to go to the hospital.

-Exclusive news from BUBBLES:  Gavin gets hit with a shoe
At the Boca Raton show in Florida on March 24, a fan accidently hit Gavin's head with a shoe.  Gavin looked pissed and said a few words about the incident during the show.  More on this story from Oscar in issue seventy-six of the BUBBLES 'zine.
-Gavin gets carried away!
"I'm great friends with a D.J up here in Vermont and he emailed me today.  Apparently, our dear Gavin was crowd surfing at a concert in Florida. The crowd carried him to the back of the arena, almost to the balcony, before security finally got a hold of him."  -Thanks ChickityInsect@webtv.net
-From All-Star Daily News:
Bush's Gavin Rossdale Talks Doors, Public Enemy Covers
Bush is putting its thus-far-useless studio time covering "Break on Through (To the Other Side)" by the Doors to good use on their current MTV Campus Invasion tour with Moby.
While the band originally recorded the song for the The Doors: A Tribute last year, their label, Trauma Records, put the kibosh on the tune due to a conflict between release schedules of the band's last album, The Science of Things, and the tribute. Instead, the band has opted to toss the track into their current set list.
"I've been screaming 'Break on Through' all day," says Gavin Rossdale, speaking just after the band's sound check in Boca Raton, Fla. on Friday (March 24). "That's why my voice is shot. But we recorded it and had a really great time doing it, but our record company got really nervous about it. I feel really bad for the Doors, but we weren't allowed [to do it]. That's why it just seemed obvious to do this one."
Bush is also working some kinks out on a cover of Public Enemy's "Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos" to play on the Campus Invasion tour as well.
"We decided to work it out today, but there was a bit of a big audience watching us so it felt a bit vulnerable."
Bush and Moby play State College, Pa. on Tuesday (March 28). After the tour, which ends in Las Vegas on May 4, the band will take a month off before hitting a selection of European festivals followed by a few more U.S. dates and another possible tour of England.
Rossdale plans on using his month-long break to write some new tunes for the next Bush record, but does he have any new tracks in the can yet?
"A few little things ... a few little things."
No pun intended.
