-The Kerrang! magazine poll results have just been released in their latest issue:  Gavin was voted number five as the Fifty Sexiest Rock Stars on the Planet.  Here's what they had to say about him:
"Damnit people, haven't you got the message yet? The Rozzer is an 'Artist', a troubled poet who, like so many visionaries before him, has been driven from these shores into the arms of an alien culture he neither comprehends nor likes. He is not, repeat not, just a fine piece of eye candy, nor indeed a prime specimen of English beef, okay? And anyone suggesting that he's got Biblical with Courtney Love, Natalie All Saint, or indeed any other than  his beloved Gwen, will be dealt with in the severest terms. You 'erd! SEXIEST MOMENT: Rocking out while couples cop off all around him in the 'Swallowed' video."
Also, Gavin and Gwen Stefani were voted as Rock's Sexiest Couple.  Don't forget to check out the photos with Dave Parsons and BUSH fans and mentions of BUSH in the news section...

-From Dotmusic: BUSH WEBCAST:

Dotmusic will webcast the Bush gig live from Manchester's Academy next Wednesday March 8th. The band, lead by Gavin Rossdale, has asked us to webcast their final UK show to a massive global audience to help celebrate the release of their new single 'Warm Machine' which is in the shops on Monday 6th. Not surprisingly we said 'alright then'.
The Bush webcast comes exactly a month after dotmusic webcast the 'secret' sold out Cure gig from London's Astoria Theatre around the world. Once again we will be building a dedicated Bush area on dotmusic which will include reviews, competitions and a special Bush fans chat room enabling fans to chat live during the gig itself.
Following our ground-breaking internet sound mix for the Cure, we will once again be providing a special online mix so that fans can hear the band at its very best. The gig will also be archived on dotmusic for two weeks.
"We're really excited about webcasting this Bush gig," says dotmusic Editor Andy Strickland. "'Warm Machine' is already a big dotmusic favourite and once again this is further proof that the biggest bands in the world wantvtheir biggest gigs webcast on the UK's biggest music website. Bush fans in Manchester have been waiting a long time for this gig to happen so we're expecting a wild night."

Gavin Rossdale Looking Ahead To New Bush Album, Solo LP
Singer/guitarist says group, now on U.S. tour, hopes to begin recording by summer.
Staff Writer Brian Hiatt reports:
Bush have just begun touring the U.S. in support of their latest album, The Science of Things, but the British pop-rockers are already making plans to begin recording their next release.
"I hope to be doing it by late summer. I think it's important to keep momentum," frontman Gavin Rossdale said last week from a Florida tour stop.
Rossdale, who also is planning a solo LP, said he's working on "light sketches" of new songs, though he declined to say what direction he expects Bush's next album to take.
"The sound should be something elusive," he said. "For us it's about constantly evolving, trying to reflect things about your life."
The band's current MTV-sponsored tour of college campuses, which also features electronica artist Moby, is slated to end April 30 but will be followed by a summer tour of outdoor amphitheaters, Bush spokesperson Michael Pagnotta said.
The band plans to enter the studio after that tour ends, according to Pagnotta, who said the group was frustrated by the three-year gap between their second album, 1996's Razorblade Suitcase, and last year's The Science of Things. The delay was largely because of a now-resolved lawsuit filed against the band by their label, Trauma Records.
A remix album, 1997's Deconstructed, came out in the interim. That album, which featured Bush hits such as "Mouth" (RealAudio excerpt) reworked by such producers as Goldie and Tricky, inspired the band to incorporate electronica into its sound, according to Bush drummer Robin Goodridge.
"We were really excited by some of the reinterpretations of our material that people did," he said last year.
Rossdale plans to delve into even more experimental territory on a solo album, which he said he hopes to record following Bush's next release.
"I'll do something different and strange and untethered by other people," he said. "I think it'll be a combination of everything — I'd like to have a cross between Fugazi and Pere Ubu."  Full story from SonicNet...

-Exclusive news from BUBBLES:  Gavin gets hit with a shoe
At the Boca Raton show in Florida on March 24, a fan accidently hit Gavin's head with a shoe.  Gavin looked pissed and said a few words about the incident during the show.  More on this story from Oscar in issue seventy-six of the BUBBLES 'zine.
-Gavin gets carried away!
"I'm great friends with a D.J up here in Vermont and he emailed me today.  Apparently, our dear Gavin was crowd surfing at a concert in Florida. The crowd carried him to the back of the arena, almost to the balcony, before security finally got a hold of him."  -Thanks ChickityInsect@webtv.net
-From All-Star Daily News:
Bush's Gavin Rossdale Talks Doors, Public Enemy Covers
Bush is putting its thus-far-useless studio time covering "Break on Through (To the Other Side)" by the Doors to good use on their current MTV Campus Invasion tour with Moby.
While the band originally recorded the song for the The Doors: A Tribute last year, their label, Trauma Records, put the kibosh on the tune due to a conflict between release schedules of the band's last album, The Science of Things, and the tribute. Instead, the band has opted to toss the track into their current set list.
"I've been screaming 'Break on Through' all day," says Gavin Rossdale, speaking just after the band's sound check in Boca Raton, Fla. on Friday (March 24). "That's why my voice is shot. But we recorded it and had a really great time doing it, but our record company got really nervous about it. I feel really bad for the Doors, but we weren't allowed [to do it]. That's why it just seemed obvious to do this one."
Bush is also working some kinks out on a cover of Public Enemy's "Black Steel in the Hour of Chaos" to play on the Campus Invasion tour as well.
"We decided to work it out today, but there was a bit of a big audience watching us so it felt a bit vulnerable."
Bush and Moby play State College, Pa. on Tuesday (March 28). After the tour, which ends in Las Vegas on May 4, the band will take a month off before hitting a selection of European festivals followed by a few more U.S. dates and another possible tour of England.
Rossdale plans on using his month-long break to write some new tunes for the next Bush record, but does he have any new tracks in the can yet?
"A few little things ... a few little things."
No pun intended.

Gavin M.I.A. in Orlando
Frontman Gavin Rossdale was missing in action during "Everything Zen" at their opening show of MTV's Campus Invasion tour. According to a press release by Trauma Records "Gavin bolted from the stage and ran through the crowd and all the way to the second level of the arena, causing a frenzy with many in the crowd wildly rushing in his direction. As the band continued to perform it became clear that Rossdale would not be able to get back to the stage anytime soon. After almost five minutes jamming on Zen, guitarist Nigel Pulsford finished the song and inserted into the lyrics 'where is Gavin' only half jokingly. With the help of Bush security, Rossdale made it safely back to the stage to begin the first chorus of 'The Chemicals Between Us.'"

Muse, Death In Vegas, Day One, Coldplay and Doves are also lined-up to play the five-night festival.

03.21.00
-Bush ready to join Greenpeace boat protests:
UK stadium rockers Bush, who used to be famous for being bigger in the US than they are over here, are set to join the eco-pressure group Greenpeace on a boat demonstration to show their support for the environment.
The band have already donated a song to feature on a Greenpeace campaign video but now want to increase their involvement with Greenpeace further by taking to the sea.
Gavin Rossdale, Bush's lead singer and chief hair stylist, said: "I'd love to get in one of those dinghies and go out to whatever boat they're on to protest. We are certainly working on ways to work together."
The song Bush donated was The Disease of the Dancing Cats from the band's most recent album The Science of Things. Apparently it was about a notorious Mercury poisoning incident at a chemical plant at Minimata Bay in Japan in 1972.
With his recent vocal condemnation of the far-right coalition in Austria and now this, Bush and Mr Rossdale are finally in danger of becoming credible on their home turf... [c/o qonline]
