-BUSH is on the cover of a free magazine titled The Inside
Connection. There is an article about the guys inside as well.
-An article about BUSH and the MP3 wars from Select magazine:
Bush, who are signed to an indie in the States and are the sixth most downloaded
band in the chart, are surprisingly anarchic when it comes to the imminent
technology revolution. "Most record companies are just excess baggage," exlaims
Gavin Rossdale. "And the music will always survive even if the big record
companies don't. And piracy is just a fact of life. That's why it's better
to be involved rather thanjust ignoring the whole thing."
With the rules being made up as they go along, it's possible Bush could succeed
where the Sex Pistols failed.
-There is a picture of Robin and a small article about him included in the
recent issue of Teen People magazine:
Drummers get nowhere near the amount of respect they deserve, and Robin Goodridge
of Bush can sort of understand why. "It's difficult to convince someone that
you're intelligent when you're hitting things very hard, looking like Animal
from the Muppets," says the 33-year-old, laughing. Not a born beat keeper,
Robin tried the trumpet first, at age eight. Five years later, he inherinted
his older brother Steven's beginner drum set. "It was called a Premier Olympic,
which is as budget as you can get, and it sounded terrible," says Robin,
whose heroes include the Who's Keith Moon and the Clash's Topper Headon.
Years later, Bush's multiplatinum success has allowed him to upgrade to the
best that money can buy - sets made by the Drum Workshop, a California company
owned by a man Robin refers to as "the guru of making drums." The top-notch
equipment hasn't made his drumming life that much easier, though. "I'm the
only band member who can't make a mistake during a show," he says. "If I
miss a single beat, not only can you hear it, but two band members will probably
turn around and look at me like I've just murdered a
puppy."

-From
NME.com:
BUSH ON FIRE!
BUSH have started work on their new studio album, and are planning
to release a new single and play live in the UK before the end of the year,
nme.com can exclusively reveal.
Speaking to nme.com from on tour in Europe, vocalist Gavin Rossdale
revealed he had started demoing tracks with the rest of the band in various
venues across London throughout the past three weeks. These demos will become
the band's fourth album, the follow-up to last year's 'The Science Of Things'.The
band will start their final recording sessions following a summer playing
at various festivals across the world.
Speaking about the new material, Rossdale said: "I've been doing
some demos of new stuff...I can't reveal any titles yet, I'm going to work
things out with the band, wait until they are finished. It's been the culmination
of playing so much this year and realising how these three albums fit together.
In some ways it's driven by playing live. I'm drawing inspiration from different
things that come around, thinking about things, reflecting on things."
He added that if recording goes well, the band will release
a new single to precede the album before the end of the year.
Rossdale promised the band would also return to the UK for dates
this year, even though their last UK tour was plagued with problems. On their
UK tour in March, which had been rescheduled from the previous November,
guitarist Nigel Pulsford fractured his ankle after falling off the stage
at the Norwich UEA. Then in the US in April, Rossdale himself had to be given
oxygen after collapsing within seconds of leaving the stage at the Central
Michigan University.
Speaking about the rescheduled UK shows, he said: "That was
just bad organisation really, but it probably all turned out for the best.
By the end of the year when we've got these new songs worked out, we'll be
ready to do a nice week in England and go and play the new songs and get
together some shows. They'll be full on!"

Kathy:
"The guys are going to South Africa the beginning of July and then finishing
that up and taking a short break and starting up again on 8/4/00 in Portugal
- which I think that date was been postposed from an earlier cancellation
- and then they will start a US tour 8/11/00. The dates haven't yet been
set - they're working that out with the agent (but that should be soon...
it has to be!). Anyhow, then they plan on touring for a couple months and
they want to go back in the studio in October for the new album and they'll
then be done for the rest of the year."

-Gavin comments about the whole Oasis ordeal at the moment (from
bbc.com):
Bush have played with Oasis before in the UK and in America, and frontman
Gavin told us he can't understand what's going wrong: "I happen to like Noel
a lot and I've got nothing against him, but Liam is often the focal point."
Gavin said it's a shame Noel isn't doing overseas touring, but he's still
behind the band: "I'd prefer them with Noel, but I'll see how Liam's getting
on. I hope he's not being too crazy!"

-Gavin To 'Break On Through' Into Acting?
From NME.com:
Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale has said he has no plans to embark on a movie
career, despite being approached to plan The Doors' singer Jim Morrison in
a new film about the band.
A spokesperson for Bush said they specifically performed the Doors track
"Break On Through" at their recent sell-out concert at London's Shepherd's
Bush Empire for casting scouts from the US, who were in the audience.
The movie will be based on the book, 'Wonderland Avenue', the classic Doors
biography by Danny Sugarman.
Filming is not expected to begin for another two years, which the Bush
spokesperson speculated "may be just right for Gavin to take a step in that
direction."
Rossdale himself said, however, that he would be content to provide music
for the soundtrack, admitting that it was "almost like a dream come true"
to be considered for the role.
Bush have been beset by difficulties this year on their UK and American tours,
with Rossdale collapsing after a gig in Michigan in April, guitarist Nigel
Pulsford fractured his ankle after a gig in Norwich in March, and two UK
dates had to be rescheduled after the singer suffered throat
problems.

-From AllStar Daily News:
Bush Responds To Indiana Promoter Lawsuit
May 25, 2000, 8:25 am PT
Spokespeople for Bush at Reach Media issued a statement on behalf of the
band on Thursday (May 25), addressing the recent lawsuit by a Bloomington,
Ind.-based promoter over the cancellation of the Bush/Moby tour stop there
last April.
Millican Productions filed a breach of contract suit in Monroe County District
Court in May (allstar, May 24), alleging Bush has refused to give back the
$50,000 advance they were paid for the show as well as that the band owes
Millican Productions some $80,000 in various damages. Bush has spun it around,
however, saying they will make sure all their fans who bought tickets are
refunded before giving any money back.
"Bush regrets the cancellation of the MTV Campus Invasion tour performance
scheduled to play Bloomington, Ind. on April 11," said the statement. "The
band is holding its advance in abeyance to ensure that, pending resolution
of the suit, every fan that purchased a ticket for that performance will
be reimbursed."
