-Check out an interview with
Gavin in US Weekly, issue 273 on page 22. Here it is:
Your girlfriend, Gwen Stefani of No doubt, lives in Los Angeles, and you
live in London. And you're both always touring. How do you do it?
By the power of the heart. We've been together for four years, but the longest
we've ever been apart is two months-that's a crazy long time. Otherwise,
we see each other more regularly than people would think.
What about when you can't see her?
When I was in Ireland writing the last record, one of my Valentine's Day
present{to Gwen} was two sacks of potatoes, because the Irish are famous
for their potatoes and I wanted to send her something from Ireland. Giving
presents is something I enjoy.
Who was your first crush?
Tatum O'Neal in The Bad News Bears. She was a babe. I held out for her for
a year, but of course I never met her.
What is your most prized possession in the
world?
My Hungarian sheepdog, Winston. He's with my dad now while we're on tour
with Moby in the U.S.
What's your sign-and is it a reflection of your personality?
I'm a quadruple Scorpio: rising moon and two others. It means I'm fiery,
very loyal, and I definitely don't forget anyone who's wronged me. It's strange
how accurate it is. Gwen is a Libra. She's all about the balance and scales,
and I'm usually bouncing around and on fire. But she carries a special fire
extinguisher to keep me down.

-Gavin To 'Break On Through' Into Acting?
From NME.com:
Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale has said he has no plans to embark on a movie
career, despite being approached to plan The Doors' singer Jim Morrison in
a new film about the band.
A spokesperson for Bush said they specifically performed the Doors track
"Break On Through" at their recent sell-out concert at London's Shepherd's
Bush Empire for casting scouts from the US, who were in the audience.
The movie will be based on the book, 'Wonderland Avenue', the classic Doors
biography by Danny Sugarman.
Filming is not expected to begin for another two years, which the Bush
spokesperson speculated "may be just right for Gavin to take a step in that
direction."
Rossdale himself said, however, that he would be content to provide music
for the soundtrack, admitting that it was "almost like a dream come true"
to be considered for the role.
Bush have been beset by difficulties this year on their UK and American tours,
with Rossdale collapsing after a gig in Michigan in April, guitarist Nigel
Pulsford fractured his ankle after a gig in Norwich in March, and two UK
dates had to be rescheduled after the singer suffered throat
problems.

Bush Responds To Indiana Promoter Lawsuit
May 25, 2000, 8:25 am PT
Spokespeople for Bush at Reach Media issued a statement on behalf of the
band on Thursday (May 25), addressing the recent lawsuit by a Bloomington,
Ind.-based promoter over the cancellation of the Bush/Moby tour stop there
last April.
Millican Productions filed a breach of contract suit in Monroe County District
Court in May (allstar, May 24), alleging Bush has refused to give back the
$50,000 advance they were paid for the show as well as that the band owes
Millican Productions some $80,000 in various damages. Bush has spun it around,
however, saying they will make sure all their fans who bought tickets are
refunded before giving any money back.
"Bush regrets the cancellation of the MTV Campus Invasion tour performance
scheduled to play Bloomington, Ind. on April 11," said the statement. "The
band is holding its advance in abeyance to ensure that, pending resolution
of the suit, every fan that purchased a ticket for that performance will
be reimbursed."

Bush Sued Over Bloomington, Ind. Concert Cancellation
May 24, 2000, 10:00 am PT
A Bloomington, Ind.-based concert promotion company filed a breach of contract
suit in Monroe County Circuit Court in Bloomington, Ind. on May 12, accusing
Bush of not refunding a $50,000 advance after the cancellation of an April
11 stop on the Bush/Moby Campus Invasion tour, according to Billboard. Jason
Millican of Jason Millican Promotions, the promoter of the show, claims Bush
skipped out on a $50,000 advance the band was paid prior to its scheduled
appearance at a farm outside of Bloomington and in addition that the band
owes Millican Productions some $80,000 in various damages. While it was unclear
why Bush pulled out of the show, Josh Katzman, the assistant to the band's
agent, told the Indiana Daily Student, "They didn't do everything on their
end pursuant to living up to the agreement."
The show was sketchy from the get-go, however. After Millican Productions
outbid the Indiana University Union Board to put on the show, Millican reportedly
told the IDS that Rage Against the Machine would also be added to the bill,
despite the fact that Rage was not currently touring. As a result, many fans
who had purchased tickets promptly demanded refunds for the show.

-BUSH Sued Over Concert Cancellation
"A Bloomington, Ind.-based concert promoter is suing U.K. rock band Bush,
the group's agents, and a third party for alleged breach of contract in
conjunction with a canceled, MTV-sponsored Bush/Moby show planned for April
11 in Bloomington. In his complaint of May 12, filed in Monroe County Circuit
Court, Jason Millican of Jason Millican Promotions claims Bush kept the $50,000
they were advanced despite the show's cancellation, and that the band and
its agents owe his company an additional $80,000 in assorted
damages."

-From
yahoo.com:
Gavin trades vodka for food
Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale refuses to slow down after his recent collapse
- but has decided to trade vodka binges for a nice solid meal. The singer
fell ill at the end of a concert in Michigan earlier this month - blacking
out after the encore and collapsing into a security guard's arms. But a visibly
shaken Rossdale vowed to continue to tour, and although he hasn't cancelled
any dates, he's taking his health issues a little more seriously now.
He said: "I just lost a little bit of fluids and carbohydrates. Dehydration
and electrolyte loss, all that stuff. It was a little strange, but I didn't
slow down at all. I haven't had a chance to. But I did learn to eat a little
better, and rest a little more. Vodka and water doesn't replace salts in
the body."
