About the editor, writer, webmistress, BUSH fanatic, etc...

-Hellohello.  My name is Reena, and I am the editor of the BUBBLES 'zine and webmistress of the website.  Most people in the online BUSH community know me as "the girl who writes BUBBLES."  Well everyone, I am more than that!  Here is just some stuff about me, if any of you really care:

- I was born on August 5, 1983 in Cincinnati, OH.  That makes me 18.  I hope you believe me cos most people don't believe me!

- I'm a freshman at the Ohio State University in Columbus OH (the largest college in the U.S.).  I'm majoring in Journalism and possibly Graphic Design.

- Math is my worst and most hated school subject.  English, Art/Photography/Music, Psychology, and Journalism are my favourite.  French and Antrhopology are cool too.

- My favourite foreign countries are England , Canada, Australia, and Jordan.

-Countries I've been to are Mexico, Canada, France, Netherlands, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Jamaica, Puerto Rico, Aruba, Guadeloupe, Antigua, and St. Thomas.

-If I could live anywhere, I'd live in Toronto, NYC, or London.

- I can speak some French, Arabic...and a little bit of English (haha). <J'adore la musique de BUSH.  Ils sont tres cool, n'est-ce pas?>

-I am an Antiochian Orthodox Christian.  What is that you may ask...basically, its the same as Greek or Russian Orthodoxy except that Antiochian is Middle Eastern.

-So, what the heck do I look like anyway?: Well, you could see the pics below, that would help!  But if not, I am 5'6'', I now have medium length dark brown/black hair (a change from my long brown hair, red and blonde hair <see pics below>).  I have brown or green or blue eyes.  I like to dress like myself...I wear something black almost all the time.  I'm not quite sure why, but I like it.  Favorite clothes I own: my black suede platform boots with pockets, black fishnets, this one shirt with the most wicked sleeves, my jeans from Puerto Rico.  I love shopping!

- My favourite foods are SUSHI!!!  tabouleh, falafel, baklava, hummos, tfruit (grapes, mangoes, kiwi, peaches), pasta, salads, and sadly, I am addicted to cereal and frozen yogurt.  I am a health nut, sorry.  Except, I am a bit weak when it comes to sweets...yum!  Favorite types of food: Middle Eastern, Italian, Chinese.

-My favourite movies are Requiem For A Dream, American Beauty, American History X, Trainspotting, Velvet Goldmine, A Life Less Ordinary, 200 Cigarettes, Sixth Sense,  Dead Poet's Society, Sid and Nancy, Empire Records, etc.  And if you count Alleys and Motorways, that's a fav of mine too.

-Favourite books:  The Twenty-Seventh Letter by Jennifer Nine, A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, Requiem For A Dream by Hubert Selby Jr, Resistance by Anita Shreve, Wild Thorns by Sahar Khalifeh.

-My suprisingly shocking pleasures are Jared Leto, Jude Law, Ewan McGregor, Ricky Martin, and Enrique Iglesias.  I adore boys who are not afraid to be themselves, have their own style, are interested in other things besides themselves, love music, and have nice hair.  Ok, just kidding about the nice hair, but why not?!

- Stuff I enjoy doing:  Sleeping, listening to music, going to concerts, meeting bands, clubbing, writing, reading magazines and books, dying my hair, alternating eye shadow and eye colours, working out, learning, admiring art and sometimes making it, playing soccer, strumming my guitar, thinking, singing , shopping, hanging out downtown, traveling, driving, meeting new people, lala.

- Kind of music I enjoy:  "Alternative," modern rock, modern and old school punk, some ska, electronica, techno, etc.  Basically anything but gansta rap, r&b, country, teeny-bop pop, 80's hair bands, etc.
