Bush Positivity

The importance of a BUSH positive community.

Bush Positive: We first heard the term used by Gavin at the Much Music studios in Canada at the broadcast for Intimate and Interactive. At the end of the program, Gavin had to sign the board as do all of the entertainers and performers. He signed: "Bush Positive."

This is a very important phrase. It has been structured in a sentence come to be known by many BUSH fans in the online community: "Stay BUSH Positive!" they say. We try, we most certainly do. BUSH fans are human, however, so we are not perfect. We can get out of hand (i.e. the 23 seconds mailing list), but we get along pretty well. With the gap between Razorblade Suitcase - Deconstructed and the unreleased The Science of Things, some BUSH fans have gone through a withdrawal. Nevertheless, with all of the exciting news on the highly anticipated album, the BUSH positivity has been flowing stronger!

A great way to show off your positivity is through a BUSH website or 'zine, or heck, why not both? There are loads of BUSH 'zines & websites on the web- too many to count. Unfortunately in the online BUSH community, many of these 'zines have focused not on the band or the fans, but on how many subcribers they have and how popular there 'zine is or can be. Not long ago, a brilliant BUSH 'zine called Suburban Suicide shut down due to the competition felt between 'zines. It has proved that now was time to stop the competing and start cooperating...

This was the event that marked the birth of *The Official Bush Positive Community - Online.* Through it, a society, if you will, of BUSH webmasters and webmistresses, 'zinesters and 'zinsestras, have formed a promise to promote BUSH positivity. We work together to provide and share BUSH information for the good of the community online. *The Official Bush Positive Community - Online* had started out minute but is slowly progressing.
